Professional Credentials
Marian Marion, Ph.D., is a professor, a former preschool and kindergarten teacher, and is certified in preschool and elementary education.
She is an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and has presented at their national conference every year for 25 years.
Dr. Marion reviews manuscripts for Young Children and serves as an NCATE specialty area reviewer for NAEYC.
She is the author of two textbooks published by Prentice Hall, Guidance ofYoung Children and Using Observation in Early Childhood Education, and a number of articles focusing on guiding young children. A third book, Introduction to Early Childhood Education: A Developmental Approach, is in press.
