Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision

 

Thank you for your interest in the Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision program! We are now accepting applications for the Fall 2012 semester. Deadline:  January 15th 

The doctoral program in Counselor Education and Supervision is designed for students who hold a masters degree from a CACREP-accredited counseling program, a degree in counseling, or a degree in a related field. Students are expected to attain advanced level competence in counseling, supervision, teaching, research, and advocacy and leadership. Teaching, supervision, practicum, and internship experiences are required. The doctoral program requires passing of the doctoral written and oral comprehensive examinations, and completion of a capstone project. The program is designed to be completed in 8 semesters, taking six hours per semester.  Classes will be held on Tuesdays for the entire cohort period and will be taught during the day and/or evening.
