The Center for Independence through Conductive Education, in cooperation with the College of Health and Human Services, is hosting a seminar on Developing Communication Skills for Children Who Face Severe Physical and Multiple Challenges: Partner-Assisted Communication with PODD. The seminar is scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2008, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Woodridge Park District, 2600 Center Drive, Woodridge, IL. The seminar is designed for parents, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, educators and anyone who interacts with children dealing with complex communication needs. Program participants will explore creative and practical strategies for overcoming barriers to language and learning. Space is limited. Early registration is encouraged.
