Meet DrOT Student, Steven Hanson, MOT, OTR/L
My OT Practice at Present:
I currently practice full-time at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, primarily in inpatient rehabilitation. My clients are adults with a wide range of disabilities:
- Orthopedic
- Neurological
- Other diagnoses
Treatments focus on self-care, activities of daily living, transfers, and planning for returning home.
Why I Chose GSU:
Having received my MOT from GSU, I was familiar with the faculty and staff. I enjoyed my experience at GSU.
With the DrOT Degree I Plan to:
In the future, I may return to academia to teach. For now, I decided this was a great time to go into a doctoral program. I only see myself getting more and more involved in the profession over time.
