MIS CEEL Portfolio

MIS CEEL students are those who want to try to gain credit for prior certifications.  This can be achieved by creating a modified portfolio by following these instructions:

The first step a student needs to take is to see Pam Stipanich in the CBPA Advising Office to get a Credit by Evaluation of Experiential Learning (CEEL) Eligibility Form.  This form must be completed and signed by a CBPA advisor or by the MIS Coordinator, Dr. Margaret Neumann.  The advisor approves the courses that the student is allowed to create a portfolio for.  (No guarantee is given that credit will be received.)

The student must then complete the portfolio for each course for which the student is seeking credit. The Board of Governors Degree Program (BOG) will assign one of their advisors to assist with portfolio creation if the student requests; call 708-534-4092.  The portfolio(s) and CEEL application must be submitted to the BOG Office along with any applicable BOG fees.  The portfolio will be submitted by the BOG to the appropriate faculty for evaluation.  The student and the CBPA advisor will be notified of any credit earned.

The time required to complete this process is largely dependent on the amount of time required by the student to complete the portfolio.  Once submitted, results usually take approximately two weeks - but please allow more time if submission occurs either over a trimester break or during the summer when faculty may not be available on a regular basis.
