Required Preparation

If a student's undergraduate degree is not in accounting, additional undergraduate course work will be required. Applicants should have completed the equivalent of the following prerequisite courses with a grade of "B" or higher in each course:

ACCT 301 Financial Accounting (3)
ACCT 302 Managerial Accounting (3)
ACCT 331 Cost Accounting I (3)
ACCT 351 Intermediate Accounting I (3)
ACCT 352 Intermediate Accounting II (3)
ACCT 353 Intermediate Accounting III (3)
ACCT 424 Taxation of Individuals (3)
ACCT 440 Audit Concepts and Standards (3)
ACCT 452 Accounting Information Systems (3)
BLAW 325 Business Law I (3)
BLAW 326 Business Law II (3)
If the undergraduate degree is not in accounting, applicants will be required to complete the preparatory course work for the master's program. The specific courses an individual will be required to complete will depend on previous course work. With permission of the dean, students can enroll in graduate level courses for which they have completed the prerequisites before completing all of the preparatory courses.  When the Student Study Plan is created, the specific course work to be completed will be indicated.
