GMAT Preparation

The College of Business and Public Administration (CBPA) requires that students admitted to MBA, MS-ACCT, and MS-MIS degree programs take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
For students who feel apprehensive about taking the GMAT, we offer a series of classes to help you prepare for successful admission into a master's degree program.
GMAT Preparation Series of Classes
The GMAT series consists of six, three-and-a-half-hour sessions that concentrate on the quantitative and verbal skills sections of the GMAT.
You will learn the skills associated with taking a computer-adaptive test, and review topics, including the following:
Quantitative*
- Data sufficiency
- Ratios and proportions
- Word problems
- Fractions
- Percentages
*You need math skills up to, and including, algebra and geometry to benefit from this course.
Verbal
- Reading comprehension
- Critical reasoning
- Sentence correction
- Analytical writing
Cost: $300
GMAT Math Refresher Series
The GMAT Math refresher series consists of three, three-and-a-half-hour sessions to help you relearn higher math concepts and skills that you may not have recently used, such as:
- Fractions
- Decimals
- Basic algebra
- Basic geometry
Cost: $150
Reduced Cost for Attending Both Series
Cost of both GMAT Preparation and Math Refresher Series: $425
All classes are taught by GSU faculty. Classes meet Saturday mornings 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on the GSU campus.
