Bachelor of Arts in Business and Applied Science
The Bachelor of Arts in Business and Applied Science (BAAS) program is a capstone program to the many varied applied programs offered at community colleges. It is intended to prepare students for careers that require both technical skills and business knowledge. It is ideal for applied science program graduates interested in continuing their education in careers involving business and management.
Increasingly, employers need employees who possess higher levels of both technical and managerial skills. Most important, skilled technicians can acquire the managerial skills needed to advance to supervisory positions.
The combination of a vocational/technical specialization and business management expertise provides a graduate with much greater opportunities for advancement on the job and with a wider variety of career options both technical and managerial. This combination of skills will also prepare a student to start his or her own business.
