Welcome to the Mathematics Program
The undergraduate major in Mathematics provides a balance between theoretical and applied study, with the general objective of providing students with a substantial and broad background in mathematics that affords opportunities to develop skills in logical thinking, problem analysis, problem solving, and computer usage, that will enable students to be admitted to graduate school and to work successfully in business, industry, and government jobs where mathematical skills are needed.
