The Committee on National Security Standards (CNSS) recently announced that the program offered by GSU meets 100 percent of their certification standards. CNSS operates under direction of the Department of Defense. Its functions include providing a national forum for the discussion of information security issues and setting national standards.
Dr. Yun-Yau Shih, Computer Science Program Coordinator at GSU, and Dr. Dingbang Xu, Assistant Professor at the university, developed the current program on information assurance. They will be recognized at the CNSS awards ceremony in Dallas, Texas this June as part of a colloquium on " Industrial Cyber Security. "
The Information Security Certificate offered at Governors State University provides the coursework needed to respond to the security concerns of government, academia, business and industry.
