Masters in Addiction Counseling Online Degree Program
Our masters in addiction counseling online concentration is a 60-hour program with online course work and clinical experiences. The curriculum is focused on evidence-based practices with an emphasis on improving clinical outcomes. Furthermore, we continue to expand and broaden our clinical sites and experiences so students have the opportunity to enter the field with skills far beyond those of an entry-level counselor. You will not only be prepared to meet today’s challenging work environment, but also have the skills you need to obtain additional credentials.
The Addiction Counseling Concentration is an all-inclusive program that prepares you with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills you need to offer services to both the client and to their family. Also, as addiction is often a co-occurring disorder with clinical depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder, you will be trained to appropriately address those issues.
Our Master of Health Science in Addictions Studies program is accredited by the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association, Inc. (IAODAPCA) and satisfies the academic requirements toward the Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) professional credential.
