Masters in Education Administration – Quality, In-depth Program
The masters in educational administration degree through our College of Education offers both field and clinical experiences to allow educators to effortlessly transition from the classroom to a leadership role. Our comprehensive program provides course work in the structural analysis of school administration and organizations, leadership, human resources, finance, community relations and more. The Professional Education Unit at GSU is approved by ISBE to offer preparation programs for teachers and other school professionals and is CACREP and NCATE accredited.
Once you have been admitted into the program you will have three areas of concentration to choose from to advance your career. In the Principal Leadership (K-12), a faculty supervisor is assigned to each candidate throughout the duration of the program. The supervisor serves both as an advisor and mentor for the candidate. This program does not require a thesis or comprehensive exam, but all candidates must pass the teacher evaluator assessment and the principal assessment as required by the State. Candidates will earn a Master's in Educational Administration.
