Helpful Hints
The following information is provided to help students avoid problems and have registration go as smoothly as possible.
- Always review your class schedule and notify the Registrar's Office immediately in case of problems.
- Your registration is not complete until you have done ONE of the following by the payment deadline:
- Paid in full
- Have signed a payment plan agreement
- Been awarded financial aid
Effective Spring/Summer 2005: Students who fail to complete the registration process by the payment deadline will be dropped from all classes.* (Deadlines are published in the printed Schedule of Classes and on the Web).*
- Review the Schedule of Classes each term for complete registration information, including refund and withdrawal deadlines.
- Remember your PIN. You cannot access online registration without it. Also remember your GSU I.D. number, which is used with your PIN to access the online system.
- Students who stop attending classes must officially withdraw using the online system to avoid a failing grade. A grade of "W" (withdrawal) will be given for classes dropped after the 100 percent refund deadline and prior to the withdrawal deadline .
- Grades are available on the web and are not mailed except upon written request. Official grade reports are not available to students with an unsatisfied financial obligation to the university.
- If you are not sure whether you added or dropped your classes properly, call the Registrar's Office at 708.534.4500, and staff will check the computer system to verify your registration. Students are responsible for their registration.
*New requirement effective Spring/Summer 2005.
