The Computer Connections Central (Cube)

The Computer Connection Central Lab (also known as the Cube) is on the second floor of the "D" Building. The lab provides computer facilities for GovState students, faculty and staff. In addition to its open lab area, The Cube offers nine classrooms for credited courses and workshops. Hours are subject to change due to campus closure and holiday schedule. Spring and Fall Hours:

Monday – Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Saturday:               9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday:                12 – 5 p.m.

Summer Hours:

Monday – Friday:   8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Saturday:                 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday:                   Closed    

Semester Break Hours:

Monday – Friday:   8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Saturday:                 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday:                   Closed

Guidelines

All currently registered GovState students, faculty, and staff are welcome to use The Cube Lab during posted days and hours.

These guidelines are designed to provide our community with a comfortable and efficient lab environment:

  • No food and drinks
  • Downloading software on lab computers is not allowed
  • No talking on cell phones
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult and may not use lab equipment

Note: Lab aides are available to assist you and provide basic information regarding lab procedures, internet services, software applications, scanning, and printing.

Cube Information

The Cube has 54 Windows and 3 Macintosh computers located in the open computer lab space. In addition, there are 4 computers available in the Jaguar Den, located on the second floor of the A building. Printing and copying is available in the Cube and Printing is available in the Jaguar Den.  Printing costs $0.10 a page for Black and White or $0.15 a page for Color print. Copying is a cost of $0.10 a copy. 

Having Trouble?

Often times, when Faculty, Staff, or Students experience an issue they can often find a solution or tutorial in the ITS Help Guides (Student ITS Help Guides or Employee ITS Help Guides). This tutorial library is a great place to start. If you cannot find the answer to your question in the tutorial library, then contacting the Information Technology Services (ITS) Service (Help) Desk is the best course of action. 

The ITS Service (Help) Desk is open Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The ITS Service (Help) Desk observes all official University holidays and campus closures.
