GSU will host its SALUTE induction ceremony Friday, May 2, at 6 p.m. in Sherman Hall.
SALUTE stands for Service Academics Leadership Unity Tribute and Excellence. It is an honor society established for students who are active in the military or veterans and are enrolled in institutions of higher education. SALUTE has a four-tier system meant to encourage student veterans to improve their GPAs and advance to higher-tier levels in the honor society during their academic careers.
Students inducted into SALUTE must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA.
The ceremony is free and open to the public.
