Film Screening to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of The Civil Rights Act

There will be a special screening of Spike Lee’s 1996 film, “Get on the Bus,” April 21 at 5 p.m. in room F1622.

The film tells the story of several black men who embark on a cross country bus trip to the Million Man March. The story focuses on several characters including a former gang member, a Hollywood actor, a cop, a laid-off aircraft worker and a white bus driver. The characters all make the trek while discussing issues such as religion, politics, and race. The film stars Ossie Davis, Andre Braugher and Charles S. Dutton. The screening is free and open to the public.
