The student chapter of the Association for Operations Management won 6th place in the Great Lakes District Case Competition Feb. 22-23 in Downers Grove, Ill. This is the second year in a row GSU students have placed in this competition.
GSU students analyzed a business case, submitted a paper, and made a presentation in front of professionals from the Chicagoland area. The case for the competition was given to the students on Friday night and they had to write the paper and submit it for presentation by Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Presentations were held at 11 a.m.
GSU students were competing against universities of various calibers and regions and above all they performed well under pressure. The group is led by faculty member Dr. John Simon.
