GSU is calling all readers to bring the voices of African American literary giants to life in the 25th Annual National African American Read-In. The event takes place Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 6-8 p.m. Bring your favorite poem, excerpt from a book, or other literary work written by an African American author to read in the cafeteria annex. Sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, the English Department, Student Life and the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English (www.ncte.org), the African American Read-In celebrates literacy as a significant part of Black History Month. The program is endorsed by the International Reading Association.

Please email Dr. Rashidah Muhammad or call 708.534.6974 to sign up to read or receive additional information. All are invited to participate.
