GSU Foundation Awards Scholarships

University Park, Illinois, November 15, 2010 - Twenty-eight Governors State University (GSU) students will receive 2010-2011 scholarships offered through the GSU Foundation.

The GSU Foundation, the university’s main fundraising arm, sponsors more than 40 scholarships to deserving students. Scholarships are established through the generosity of donors to GSU, and are designed to assist students seeking degrees in the university’s 53 undergraduate and graduate programs.

“It’s always gratifying when our students receive scholarships that bring them closer to their goal of earning a GSU degree,” said Christine Radtke, the university’s director of development. “Students qualify for scholarships by working hard and demonstrating that they will be leaders in their chosen field. But none of this would be possible without our donors, and their continuing commitment to our students, and the Southland region.”
