Community Input Sought at GSU Conference on Health Inequity
University Park, IL, August 31, 2010 – Governors State University is accepting abstracts for its upcoming conference “Eliminating Health Inequity: From Research to Practice.” The conference, on October 22, will address the issues of health inequity with a focus on community-based solutions.
Healthcare providers, staff of local health departments and community-based organizations, and faculty and staff from colleges and universities in the region are invited to submit an abstract for the poster session on any topics related to health inequity research, particularly with respect to vulnerable and at risk populations.
Abstracts are not to exceed 500 words and should include title, objective, background, methods, results, conclusions, and name, organizational affiliation, and contact information.
All abstracts should be submitted to Dr. Penny Havlicek at p-havlicek@govst.edu no later than September 10. Abstracts will be peer reviewed based on significance of the research, originality, and clarity of content. Applicants will be notified in writing, no later than September 20, if their abstracts have been accepted.
