University Park, September 13, 2005 - Governors State University will host Portfolio Preparation Seminar on Saturday, October 1, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The session will take place in the Hall of Honors, on the university’s main campus, 1 University Parkway, University Park.
The cost for the seminar is $25. The fee is non-refundable and can be paid on the day of the seminar. Attendees will receive a copy of the guide, "Writing a Portfolio." The event is open to all prospective students interested in GSU’s Board of Governors B.A. Degree Program.
The Board of Governors B.A. Degree program offers students the chance to gain college credit for life experiences such as work, travel, and community outreach. Those experiences are presented in a formal written portfolio that must meet specific academic guidelines. This seminar will focus on successful preparation of a portfolio.
