Puzzled by Art? Exhibit Pieces It Together 

University Park, IL, April 9, 2009 – Governors State University celebrates the visual arts in a series of exhibitions and artist lectures during April in “Puzzled Together.” Exhibitions placed throughout the University showcase the diversity of the graduate art program at Governors State through a range of media such as collage, drawing, mosaics, painting, and photography. 

Artists and curators will discuss their works on April 13 and 20, from 7:30 to 10:20 p.m., in room F1622. A reception will be held on April 20, from 8 to 10 p.m. in the F wing. All events are free and open to the public.

“Puzzled Together” represents a cross-section of the South Suburban art community. Artists and curators include Peter Bosy of Indian Head Park, Michael Costanza of Kankakee, Monique Doyle of Harvey, Sarah Ogren of Steger, Patty McWilliams of Mokena, Joyce Speechley of Downers Grove, Elizabeth Farnesi of Orland Park, Margie Glass-Sula of Morris, Traci Ores of Dyer, Indiana, KLeo (presented by curator Rachel Prendergast of Wilmington), and James S. Crews (presented by Silvia Melby of Beecher).

Artwork will be on display from March 31 through April 20. Printed brochures are available at the information desk located inside the main entrance of the university.
