Trade with China: Experts to hold roundtable discussion at Governors State University

University Park, October 15, 2004 - Governors State University will present “U.S.-China Relations: A Roundtable” on Saturday, October 23, from 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the university’s Engbretson Hall. Liang Gang, commercial counsel for the Chinese Consulate of Chicago, will deliver the keynote address, “China’s Economic and Foreign Trade Policies.”
 
A panel of experts will conduct a roundtable discussion on “Doing Business in China.”
 
The program begins with registration and a continental breakfast at 8:15 a.m. Registration is $50 and includes a box lunch.
 
The panelists and topics include Moses Shang, chairman of the Asian American Advisory Council for Illinois Senate President Emil Jones, Jr., “U.S. – China Governmental Relations and the Chinese Market”; Jun Zhao, professor of Management at Governors State University, “Communicating and Negotiating with Chinese Business People”; Dashan Cui, visiting professor of China Studies, College of Arts and Sciences, “Marketing and Outsourcing in China”; and representative of the John Deere Company, “Joint Ventures in China.”
