The Civic Engagement and Community Service Center host a number of service events throughout the school year. Service days have a purpose to impact and strengthen the community around us by bringing volunteers who have an eager to participate and learn about current community issues and related topics to their course of study that embeds service-learning. Service days are typically planned to support event, holidays, and causes, such as Remembrance Day on September 11, Veterans Day on November 11, Martin Luther King JR Service on January 20th, and Cancer awareness month, but are not limited to such events. One of the Civic Engagement and Community Service Center’s outcomes is to fully engage the student body in meaningful community service events.
