Founded in 2004, The Center for Online Teaching and Learning is dedicated to assisting faculty in developing and delivering quality online classes and supporting students in using the Blackboard Learning Management System.
The primary mission of the center is to support faculty in designing, developing and delivering high-quality online and web-enhanced courses. This mission is accomplished through a combination of on-campus and online activities including faculty development, consulting, instructional design, and helpdesk support for instructors who use online teaching strategies in their courses.
The Faculty Lab is one of the new additions to the center. Our highly trained Online Specialists provide 30 minute one-on-one sessions to faculty for developing and adding multi-media content to their Blackboard courses. The lab features software such as, Camtasia, Snagit, Captivate, Adobe presenter with high-end audio recording microphones.
