The Governors State University’s exceptional Masters in Nursing programs offer nurses the opportunity to advance their careers and prepare to meet the demands of an ever-changing health care profession. Our MSN programs are designed to accommodate working nurses by offering convenient scheduling with a curriculum that combines on-campus course work and online classes. We also give students the option of full or part-time enrollment. Additionally, while enrolled in one of our Masters in Nursing programs, you will be assigned an experienced faculty mentor to assist you at every stage of your journey.

Under recent healthcare reform, there is an estimated 31 million new people that will require primary care. GSU’s Masters in Nursing programs are preparing highly educated nurses to meet the growing demand. Our programs include two concentrations for the MSN degree; one in Nursing Administration and the other in Family Nurse Practitioner. Both programs focus on providing quality, holistic care, creating healing environments and building caring communities.
We also offer an exceptional program for a MSN Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Adult Healthcare degree to prepare nurses for leadership positions as Advanced Practice Nurses. Finally, our Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate prepares Advanced Practice Nurses who have a MSN degree to qualify for licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
