Special Admission Requirements

The Master of Health Administration degree program admits students twice a year. Applications and all supporting documentation (letters of recommendation, essay, official transcripts, transcript evaluations (WES/ECE), bank statements, affidavits of support, and TOEFL/IELTS scores) must be submitted online at  http://www.hampcas.org by April 15 of the year for Fall semester admission (ex: April 15, 2019 for Fall 2019 admission) or by October 15 of the year for Spring admission (ex: October 15, 2018 for Spring 2019 admission.) 

 

 All applications will be reviewed and telephone interviews scheduled after the deadline. Please note that not all students will be required to complete a telephone interview. For Fall admission, applicants can expect to hear program decisions between late May through early June. For Spring admission, applicants can expect to hear program decisions between late November through early December. 

 
NOTE:
The HAMPCAS portal closes every year for updates and maintenance. To check exact dates, please go to  http://www.hampcas.org under the application information tab. Applicants who wish to apply for the upcoming Spring semester can only begin applying once the portal for the new academic year reopens on September 4, 2018. No new applications will be accepted between April 16-September 3 and October 16-January 1 of each year.

 
In addition to meeting University criteria, applicants must: 

 ·         Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the last 60 hours of undergraduate course work or a cumulative 3.0 GPA for all previous graduate coursework. 

 ·         Submit three letters of recommendation that support the applicant for graduate study in health administration. Recommendation letters must be from previous academic faculty and/or current or previous employers. If the applicant has been out of school or unemployed for more than five years, he/she may petition for a waiver; 

 ·         Submit Personal Statement with reason for pursuing Master's Degree of Health Administration; 

 ·         Complete a possible telephone interview (if applicable) with the Admissions Committee scheduled on a mutually agreeable date and time. Not all students will be required to complete a telephone interview.
