Governors State University offers a variety of campus-based, hybrid and online courses. If you attend class on-campus, your class will likely include an Internet component as well. If you register for a hybrid course, some of your course meetings will occur online, and some in the classroom. GSU also offers many fully-online courses, which can be completed from the comfort of your own home computer.

Interested in taking an online course?

GSU courses utilize the Blackboard Learning Management System. Once you register for class, we offer a free Blackboard Orientation course with video tutorials, Blackboard email help and GSU Help Desk phone support. If you are new to Online Learning, you may want to take Introduction to Online Learning, a 2 credit hour, seven week course that introduces you to Blackboard tools and helps you develop the Internet skills you will need in order to take an online program or degree.
